I truly believe in lifelong learning.  There are a wealth of fascinating, inspiring, and educational opportunities available for us; we just have to care enough to seek them.



Professional Literature



This is a rather short list of some wonderful resource books and incredible authors.  All of these authors have more than one book, each as worthy as the next, but to save space, I've limited it to these books.

I must share two great tips I learned from my mentor in my first year of teaching about finding good quality resource books:

When you find a great article or book by a renowned author, read the bibliography to see which authors he or she is reading/citing/taking an interest in.

Notice that really great books come from really great publishing companies.  My personal favourites:  Stenhouse and Heinemann (United States) and Pembroke and Pearson (Canada).
